Yostar today announced an EN release for Revived Witch, an upcoming mobile RPG featuring a pixel-art art style, though no date has been given.
They put out a new trailer for the game today, introducing you to its very clearly anime-inspired visuals, as well as the basic premise of the game.
Your main character is a witch, having woken up with no memories of her past. By your side you have a black cat, guiding you through your journey as you recruit more witches to join your adventure.
To that end, the official Revived Witch EN Twitter account has already revealed one of the units you can look forward to, the UR witch Flora.
Aside from that, Yostar hasn’t said much else about their game, lacking information such as a tentative release date or even pre-registration. That being said, the game was announced for release in China months prior, with a closed test in January. From there we know that the game uses an Octopath-styled 2.5D set of visuals, with 2d pixel sprites against a 3d background.
Considering how many mobile games tend to be built off pre-existing licenses though, it’s good to see another original IP, joining the likes of games like Punishing Gray Raven, Alchemy Stars and Genshin Impact.
That being said, with how broad the term “RPG” has become, we’ll have to wait for more information to see exactly how the game plays. You can sign up for the closed beta here.
