Revived Witch, developed by 皮克喵工作室 and published by Leiting, will be commencing a limited test from 26 January, 10:00 GMT +8 to 9 February, 10:00 GMT +8. This game isn’t to be confused with the already shut down Witch’s Weapon which was a top down ARPG for mobile devices.
Instead, Revived Witch is a 2D turn-based RPG game. The way it’s rendered and how you move around the map, with interactable items here and there, is quite reminiscent of RPG Maker games. It looks like you’re limited to three characters in a party, and monsters aren’t random encounters with their sprites rendered on the overworld for you to run into them and fight. Below is an example of a boss fight.
The game will have a “dungeon” mode, where you need to bring four teams of 3, with each team only being usable once. There is also a PVP mode, with both attack and defense rankings.
The game has undergone quite a few testing periods already, gradually adding content, from new characters, story, and more. The latest test is only available for Android, with data to be wiped once it concludes. There will be a livestream prior to the test tomorrow here. You can check out the game’s official portal here.
