Polygod is a game by Krafted Games. They had it early access on Steam and it is a one-of-a-kind FPS on PC that has a great reward system if you like challenging games. The game’s arenas are randomly generated and you play through it defeating enemies and collecting their souls. You can then use the souls you’ve collected to exchange for weapon or character upgrades.
The Lore
You start off as the Faceless One who is supposed to be a legendary assassin. As you spawn in the first room, you are tasked to prove yourself to the seven deities by fighting through the arenas and defeat their Holy Champions. As you defeat them, you get to ascend into godhood. Though it won’t be easy as you have to fight your way up and as you go higher, it gets more difficult.
Gameplay
As you start off, you are only allowed to use a single gun, a hand-gun to be precise. There’s no ammo or reloads so you can spam away. However, this is not your average FPS game where you just shoot stuff, kill stuff. You have to dodge your way as well as you will be swarmed with bullets in no time if you’re in the wrong position. As you kill the enemies, you will gain souls. You can then turn souls in exchange for increased health or weapon upgrades.
One great thing about the game is that it will never be boring as you can play co-cooperatively with your friends or competitively in multiplayer modes. There are over 100 characters and weapon upgrades in the game that can be unlocked by exchanging souls.
A short taste Polygod gameplay:
The game is really challenging. If you aren’t an avid FPS or a patient kind of player, you might just go in guns-a-blazing and die – like me! This game does require some dodging skills, actually a lot. As you can see in the gameplay, I am not very good at it. Once I’ve reached the boss, I got obliterated to smithereens though I was so close to killing the first boss, Quatzalcoatl. But that’s just me being bad at it.
Verdict
The game is great for those who like the cheerful color of the environment with death knocking on your door at every corner. If you are skillful, sure, you might just be able to play-through the game easily. But I doubt that as the arena are never the same as before. It’s always different every time you enter and the enemies will always be around the corner. As you climb higher to your ascension to godhood, the difficulty scales as well and you might just run out of luck then.
You’ll need to spend your souls wisely on the upgrades you think are required for your survival. Or you’ll have to play through it patiently and carefully to defeat your enemies and earn as much souls as you can to turn in for a Blessing. With the game now out of Early Access and at RM 32.00 on Steam, it’s a pretty fun and challenging game with friends that you want to have in your library of games.
If you want to get it, the game is at $15 USD on the Nintendo eShop or RM 32.00 on Steam as well as on the Xbox One. For more info, you can check out their official page.

Polygod
Polygod is a great and fun game if you are up for the challenge. The game has a vast number of upgrades and characters provided if you can earn enough souls and save them up. With the bullets flying towards you, you need to dodge them and shoot the enemies at the same time but if you're bad at dodging, well, you're going to have a hard time. Nonetheless, it's a fun and interactive game if you're playing with your friends in the multiplayer cooperative mode.
