Psychedelica fans need to wait no longer. Psychedelica of the Ashen Hawk, the sequel to Psychedelica of the Black Butterfly, will be out 30 August 2019 for Playstation Vita and Steam. Even if you haven’t played Black Butterfly, you can still enjoy Ashen Hawk. Older fans can enjoy finding the connections between Ashen Hawk and Black Butterfly.
Ashen Hawk stars Eiar, who disguises herself as a boy due to circumstances surrounding her right red eye. She lives in a tower in the forest at the outskirts of town, together with the Tower Master. Eiar, as Jed, works in the town ruled by the Wolf (Volgue) and Hawk (Farzi) clans.
Ashen Hawk promises to throw in some red herrings for fans who are trying to piece together the world of Psychdelica. The Flow Chart story system returns, allowing players to start from a story point they choose. With the Map System, players can collect short stories, with icons indicating certain conditions. These will blend naturally with the main story, while also branching out of it. Using Items can also change the short stories.
The heroine disguising herself as a boy becomes a key gameplay element. The Talk System allows players to switch between male and female appearances to converse with characters. Interact with the characters even more, and earn points to unlock short stories!
