The Resident Evil 4 Remake is now available for pre-order on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. The game will release on March 24th, 2023.
The recent Resident Evil Showcase has given us a new look at the game, including a new gameplay video, the producer’s personal commentary, and the latest promotional trailer. The remote village has become spookier, and the enemies are even tougher. Through the evolution of technology, Capcom has further delved into the “intent” pointed to by the original.
What’s New in Resident Evil 4 Remake
In this title, Capcom says they will increase the actions players can take by expanding knife attacks such as emergency avoidance and parry. With health, remaining bullets, the durability of the knife, and your own operating skills, you’ll have to choose the most suitable means according to the situation.
The knife in particular has become very versatile, such as silently stabbing enemies from behind, or stabbing a fallen enemy with a fatal blow. Parrying with a knife can not only bounce the enemy attacks but also make the opponent lose charge. In addition to avoidance, it can also be used as a starting point for attacks. Even a powerful chainsaw attack can bounce, but cannot be activated when the durability drops to zero, i.e., when the knife is broken.
