Resident Evil 7, as well as the Resident Evil 2 and 3 Remakes, will be coming to the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. The games will be released sometime later this year in 2022.
These ports will include visual enhancements and players that own a copy on the PS4 or Xbox One will be able to get a digital upgrade of those versions with the newer systems at no additional cost.
This was revealed in a post by the official Resident Evil Twitter:
Resident Evil 2, 3, and 7 are coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S with visual enhancements later this year! 🌿

Resident Evil 7 and the Resident Evil 2 Remake are often considered a return to form for the series, bringing Resident Evil back to its survival horror roots with 2 Remake in particular often being cited as one of the best games in the series with an intense dark atmosphere, making the zombies terrifying again and the fact that throughout the game you are being chased by the monstrous Mister X.
Resident Evil 7, Remake Evil 2 Remake, and Resident Evil 3 Remake are available for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. The latest game in the series Resident Evil Village is also available for all of those consoles plus the PS5 and Xbox Series X.
