Renshin Astral now available for download on Android and iOS

LIONSHIP STUDIO has just launched Renshin Astral, its SRPG for the Android and iOS platforms.

The game grants players the ability to summon gods by combining several units in one-on-one battles. You will be controlling three groups of people that hail from places such as Paris, Tokyo and London, all of whom offer their own unique superpower to thwart the dark forces.

Default units will not be sufficient to get the job done, so you will need to combine them in order to create even more powerful units. The key here is to merge several units together to elevate them to the status of god. With the insane number of deities that are available in the pool, you will have your work cut out for you when it comes to this endeavour. But hey, if you are a fan of character collectors, this will be right up your alley.

Of course, this being a mobage means that you will be subjecting yourself to the dreaded gacha system in order to get the right units. That said, Renshin Astral does offer a fairly generous 5% draw rate, which is rather generous compared to similar games of its ilk. In any case, starting right now means you will be able to get time-limited character Charlene Live for free after completing a seven-day rookie mission list.

SRPGs are a dime and a dozen, so it will be interesting what this game brings to the table. The accompanying trailer does suggest a fairly interesting take in the genre, but for it to have staying power, it will need an interesting campaign and diverse roster of units.
