REDMAGIC 9 Pro to be Available on Shopee Malaysia on January 1st 

REDMAGIC 9 Pro, the latest flagship device by REDMAGIC, will be available exclusively on Shopee Official Store in Malaysia on January 1st, 2024.

As announced, the REDMAGIC 9 Pro phones will be available on the brand’s Official Shopee Store starting from January 1st, 2024, at a base retail price of RM 3,600 onward.

To commemorate the launch of the device, REDMAGIC Malaysia will be offering a first sale promotion discount of RM750 Off for purchases from January 1st until January 8th, 2024.

Technical Specifications

The device will be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor with up to 16GB RAM and up to 516GB storage capacity.

Equipped with a Red Core 2 as well, a dedicated gaming chip by REDMAGIC, the device is said to have a 32% increase in CPU performance and a 34% increase in GPU performance, consuming much less power.

Furthermore, the device is also armed with LPDDR5X and UFS 4.0, which said to have a faster data transfer and app loading times.

For the battery, the smartphone will be equipped with a 6500mAh dual-cell battery and  80W super-fast charging capability. 

Display and Audio

When it comes to display, the REDMAGIC 9 Pro is noted to be a 100% flat smartphone with a 6.8-inch BOE Q9+ FHD+ flat screen with a resolution of 2480 x 1116 pixels.

The screen has a refresh rate of 120Hz and a peak brightness of 1600 nits, while also packed with a touch sampling rate of 2000 Hz and a gamut of DCI-P3, 100%, and is protected by Gorilla Glass 5.

The device also boasts an overall touch sample rate of 960Hz.

For tuning, the screen has a colosystem that features dual speakers powered by an 0815 super linear motor with a rating of 1115K *1115K, as well as a having a DTS:X Ultra certification.

ICE 13 Cooling System

A feature of the REDMAGIC 9 Pro smartphone worth noting is the ICE 13 Cooling System for cooling the device.

It is a 10-layer cooling system that includes a double-layer super large vapor chamber plate located under the screen, which has been increased to 10182mm².

The system also features a high-speed turbofan that operates at 4DB with its ultra-thin blades, shark fin internal inlet, energy-efficient coil, and metal cover, customizable with RGB fluorescent fan colors.

REDMAGIC claims that this device has heat dissipation that reduces the temperature of the CPU core by 25°C compared to the previous generation.

The ICE 13 cooling system is comprised of under-screen copper foil, under-screen graphene, 3D Ice Step Dual Pump VC, aerospace aluminum mid-frame, high-speed centrifugal fan, high thermal conductivity rare earth metals, high thermal conductivity gel, motherboard copper foil, high-speed aerospace aluminum air duct, and high thermal conductivity copper foil.

It also features a relocated camera, claimed to have reduced the overall temperature of the device by up to 18°C.

Design, Storage Options, and Improved Game Space

The device will come with two storage options and 3 different designs.

For storage options, you can either choose 12GB RAM + 256GB or 16GB RAM + 512GB.

Meanwhile, the 3 device designs are the winter landscape-inspired Snowfall, the sleek black Sleet, and the grey Cyclone.

As a gaming phone, the REDMAGIC 9 Pro comes with a new operating system called REDMAGIC OS 9.0, an OS designed with gamers in mind with an enhanced GameSpace in several features.

The Game Lobby itself stores all the downloaded games, while the REDMAGIC Time can record videos and screenshots of games.

The SuperBase has the X Gravity Platform, allowing users to connect the phone with keyboards and mouse and cast mobile games onto a larger screen.

It also includes a plug-in library with over ten equipped and explained plug-ins per type of game.

Additionally, the Game Space Center has over ten customizable settings for gamers, including gaming achievements, network settings, screen settings, and performance tweaks. 

Mora Center, REDMAGIC’s mascot, can also be found in the Game Lobby and features Mora Care with interactive elements such as a new virtual pet that can interact with the user when set as a HomeScreen Wallpaper, Mora Alarm, Mora Live to help take pictures and videos with the mascot, and Mora Augmented Reality Camera.
