RedGames Jam, A Collaboration Between UOW Malaysia And airasia Announced

airasia and UOW KDU have announced RedGames Jam, a game jam event to be held at UOW Malaysia Glenmarie campus for game developers.

The event, which also features support from the International Game Developers Association (IGDA) as well as SEGA, will run from 28th to 30th July and will feature team-based game development over the course of 48 hours.

Those interested to join the event can sign up via this link, where you can sign up either individually or as a team.

Prizes include a 5 day 4 night trip to Japan, as well as tickets to Tokyo Games Show 2023 and airasia points.

“We are excited to host airasia Superapp’s first ever RedGames Jam”, says Rudy Khaw, CEO of airasia Brand Co. “This game jam gives a platform to the game development community in Asean to showcase their creative and tech talent whilst providing us with an opportunity to introduce a new original IP through RedGames on airasia Superapp.”

Game Jams are great places for aspiring game developers to put their skills to the test- contestants are usually given a prompt or theme to work off of, with many working with their peers to help refine their ideas ahead of the final presentation.
