Redfall coming 2023, on Xbox Game Pass Day One

Grab some buddies and shoot down some vampires when Arkane Austin‘s Redfall releases sometime 2023, also coming to Xbox Game Pass Day One.

Redfall is an open-world, single-player and co-op FPS from Arkane Austin, the award-winning team behind Prey and Dishonored. Continuing Arkane’s legacy of carefully crafted worlds and immersive sims, Redfall brings the studio’s signature gameplay to this story-driven action shooter.

Redfall used to look like it was straight out of a postcard. That was before a legion of vampires staked their claim over the island…and its inhabitants. By blocking out the sun and pushing the ocean back from Redfall’s shores, these new vampire overlords have completely cut the island off from the outside world and any hope of rescue.

That’s where you come in. You’ll pick from a roster of four diverse heroes and either go solo or team up with up to three other players to round out your squad. Armed with a wide array of customizable gear, specialized weaponry and unique character abilities, ranging from the scientific to the mystical, you’ll take on the bloodthirsty threat and take back Redfall.

The gameplay trailer breakdown can be found through the Xbox website too, giving a glimpse of the heroes, the emphasis on it being Solo First, and your potential options to tackle the vampires that await.

• Layla Ellison: A biomedical engineering student who interned at a research facility, where something went very wrong, leaving her with intense telekinetic abilities.
• Jacob Boyer: An ex-military sharpshooter turned private contractor. Strange happenings on Redfall have left Jacob with a mysterious vampiric eye and a spectral raven that’s never far from his side.
• Remi de la Rosa: A brilliant combat engineer who has spent her life on the frontlines. With the help of her robot cohort, Bribón, she’s determined to help rescue Redfall’s survivors.
• Devinder Crousley: A cryptozoologist and aspiring inventor. Armed with weapons of his own creation, he’s on a mission to prove himself.
