Rockstar Games has announced that the Red Dead Online beta early access will begin later today, 27th November 2018 at 8:30 a.m. Eastern Time. The public release will launch on November 30th.
Red Dead Online uses the assets of Red Dead Redemption 2 to create an online world. Players get to create their own characters with their own set of playstyles for the online feature which allows players to experience the world their own way. The online mode allows players to travel the world solo or in a party (up to 7 players). The party (or Posse) can take part in various activities ranging from fishing to fighting another Posse.
According to Rockstar Games, they will launch the beta access in a gradual order. The reason for doing this is to avoid and mitigate major issues such as server crashes which may affect player experience. Considering the popularity of the game, Rockstar Games is totally justified to so. The order of release are as followed:
- Tuesday, November 27th: Only available for owners of Red Dead Redemption 2 Ultimate Edition.
- Wednesday, Novermber 28th: All players who played on October 26th (based on Rockstar Games’ data).
- Thursday, November 29th: All players who played from 27th to October 29th (based on Rockstar Games’ data).
- Friday, November 30th: All Red Dead Redemption 2 owners.
