At Razercon, Razer was kind enough to give us more information on Razer Zephyr, the first in their line of wearable purifiers. A strange concept but one that Razer believes they can make work.
Razer says that zephyr is all about staying at home and gaming all day, for the community, by the community. They say they worked with the Razer community all over the world getting feedback on comfort and breathability and ensuring the best product.
The Zephyr is made with three things in mind: being safe, social, and sustainable
Safe:
The Zephyr will come with three N95 filters and two-way protection through two air chambers to ensure that germs and bacteria stay out. Something very important in modern times.
To make sure that’s strong breathability, there are dual intake fans for greater circulation which run at 2-speed modes 4200 RPM or 6200 RPM that can be changed via an inbuilt button.
There is also a tight seal over your mouth and nose with pressure distributed evenly through the straps.
Social:
The mask comes with a transparent design and built-in lights so people can always see your facial expression. It also with an anti-fog spray so you don’t fog up the lens.
An app will come with the Zephry to control its colored lights and fans.
Sustainability:
The mask produces 80% less waste by using replaceable three full-day filters. More filters can be purchased and easily put in. This means you won’t be throwing away entire masks, but reusing just one.
The Zephyr has a total battery life of around three hours on average.
The Razer Zephyr will be released on the 21st of October for $99.99 (MYR 415) and the filters will be purchasable for $29.99 (MYR 124). You can purchase it at the Razer store or a licensed retailer.
