Capcom has announced the new Rashid themed battle pass for Street Fighter 6, meant to celebrate the “imminent” arrival of the game’s first DLC character.
That being said, don’t expect this to mean Rashid himself is coming to the game- while it’s been long announced that he would be the first of the game’s Season Pass characters, the battle pass is merely meant to be a celebration of the master of turbulent winds.
That is to say, Rashid still has no release date for Street Fighter 6, outside of the “Summer 2023” window he was initially announced with.
“Air currents are quickly rising! Prepare for the imminent arrival of the Turbulent Wind with the “Rashid Arrives!” Fighting Pass from July 4-23 for 250 Fighter Coins”, the official Street Fighter Twitter account reads.
The pass itself is full of Rashid-themed goodies for fans of the Street Fighter V newcomer, including avatar clothes to match his style like his eye scouter and orange sneakers.
More importantly, though, the battle pass contains three music tracks from Street Fighter V: the themes of Laura, Necalli and Rashid himself.
Fans have long been speculating Rashid’s actual release date would be revealed at EVO 2023, considering the event’s tradition of announcing new characters or even releasing them at the event itself.
