During the Rainbow Six Siege Community and Game Celebration, Ubisoft revealed its future plans for the game with a Year 6 roadmap. The team also announced many other new upcoming features to the game. You can watch the reveal for Year 6 below:
In a nutshell, Year 6 has 4 different seasons. Each season will feature new Operators, map reworks and events. Check out the Year 6 roadmap for Rainbow Six Siege.
Season 1 of Year 6 is Crimson Heist. It adds Flores, a new attacker who hails from Argentina. Furthermore, the map Border will undergo a rework. Players can try out this season tomorrow on the PC Test Server.
In addition, a Reputation System will go live once Year 6 starts on March 16th. The devs also designed a streamer mode, allowing content creators to control their anonymity when live streaming.
The game is also getting the Gonne-6, a new secondary weapon for Glaz, Dokkaebi, Lion, Finka, Gridlock, Amaru, Iana and Zero.
Besides that, the following features will make their way into the game later in Year 6:
- Players can control cameras and gadgets after dying
- Attackers can change their Operators and loadout as many times as they want during the preparation phase
- Armor will be switched to Health
