Ubisoft has announced that Rainbow Six Operation League Season 1 has been postponed, once again due to coronavirus concerns. The league was supposed to be part of the Rainbow Six Siege regionalized events in the coming year, this one meant to include Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines and Indonesia. The postponed Rainbow Six Operation League Season 1 would have had a USD$10,000 prizepool.
The full provided announcement reads as follows:
The health and well-being of our teams, developers, players and partners is our first priority. We have taken the difficult decision to postpone the remaining matches & broadcasts of the Operation League MY/SG/PH/ID Season 1 tournament until further notice.
The registration for PH qualifiers will remain open until the new schedule is announced. We will remain Thailand tournament operation as usual (unless more strict regulations have been sent or informed by the local government)
We are actively monitoring the situation around COVID-19 and will continue to evaluate and provide more updates.
The Rainbow Six Pro League Season Final XI and APAC Finals have also previously been cancelled due to the virus. The virus has been disrupting events left and right. We can probably expect more and more tournaments and events to go online where possible, until the situation subsides.
