Thanks to a tip from our reader, Marcus, Ragnarok Origin has opened pre-registrations since 24 April 2020. Interested players would be able to join in the Ragnarok Origin pre-registrations via logging in through Facebook, Google account or Apple account. Pre-registered players will also qualify to be part of a closed beta test, to be held some time in May. There are pre-registration rewards, though no apparent milestone rewards, for in-game items.
More applicable for Korean residents, pre-registrants can stand a chance to win gift cards, and additional rewards. 6 May seems to be when players can reserve names. Ragnarok Origin is basically a remake of sorts of the original game, with overhauled graphics, day/night cycles, and more. We had a gander at the game at G-STAR 2019, which you can watch below:
We’d be assuming the release is only within Korea for now, until Gravity localizes it for the world at a later date. A screenshot, also shared by Marcus, suggests the expected release date will be for 7 July 2020.
The Ragnarok series of games has been no stranger to mobile ventures, with a variety of spin-offs and individual titles that differ from region to region. Will you be playing Ragnarok Origin should it make its way globally?
