After a quick round of beta testing, Quantum Maki has finally been launched by publisher Efun for the Android and iOS platforms.
As previously mentioned, Quantum Maki is actually a mish mash of genres, as it incorporates a third person shooting mechanic with some bullet hell thrown into the mix. You assume the role of commander of a squad of Ritters, pilots who maneuver powerful suits known as Quantum Makis. As you unleash a hail of projectiles onto hostile entities, you will also have evade and weave around their own barrage of fire.
But first, some lore. In 2033, a mysterious tower suddenly materialised on earth, and it houses many technological wonders. Humanity took advantage of this and propelled the level of technology by leaps and bounds. Of course, an arms race soon ensued as all factions of humanity began fighting for control of the tower in order to hoard its technology to themselves. Cue the player, who assumes the role of a commander of an elite squad of pilots known only as Ritters. Ritters pilot the titular Quantum Makis, and you are tasked with securing technology from the tower in order to defeat an evil empire. Fairly basic writing, but gameplay is what matters most anyway.
It is also worth noting that in just two days after its launch, Quantum Maki is having its first collaboration event with Code Geass, featuring the likes of Lelouch, C.C, Kallen and Suzaku, alongside their signature Knightmare Frames.
