Sony Malaysia has announced the PS5 Second Wave Pre-Order, after the first sold out almost immediately.
The Pre-Orders will open on 8th January, starting from 10am.
Unlike the first wave, these preorders will be on a much smaller scale compared to the first. You also won’t be able to pre-order online, and instead will require you to physically show up in the store to secure your pre-order.
Only two Sony stores in KL will have the PS5 Second Wave Pre-Orders, being their stores in KLCC and The Curve. They will run from 10am until 10pm, although stock is limited.
It’s likely that the switch to physical pre-orders is to do with reducing bots, after the speed at which pre-orders were snapped up in the first wave. Alternatively, you can also argue that the stock allocation is much smaller this time, hence why you can only get it at the two stores.
Price-wise the consoles are the same as the first wave, with a price of RM1869 for the Digital Edition and RM2299 for the Physical Edition.
