We just got our hands on the PS4 controller with a keyring that will let you pay for public transport in Taiwan.
Are you a gamer who also uses public transport, do you take a portable console or mobile to game on the bus or train? PlayStation Taiwan will now let you do that with a controller replica.
The contactless smartcard corporation, EasyCard Corporation has gotten the license from Sony to turn the PS4 DualShock controller into a keyring-sized contactless smart card for use on Taiwanese public transport including buses, railways, and subways. It also works with several other authorized services including convenience stores, grocery stores, restaurants, and other retailers. It has been compared to London’s Oyster cards only it looks like you could play God of War: Ragnarok with it.
The price of the Taiwan PS4 controller card is actually pretty cheap at only NTD$390 ($13/MYR54) and it looks pretty accurate to the real deal with a far more detailed layout than you’d expect for a miniature version of a console.
