The Girls’ Frontline spin off game, Project Neural Cloud, has been confirmed for release in Korea, currently planned for within 2022. Publisher HAOPLAY will be managing it, and it will be live concurrently with the pre-existing servers of the original Girls’ Frontline game.
As for specific launch window, Project Neural Cloud will be launching in Korea in the second half of 2022, according to inven. No pre-registrations appear to be live at this time, presumably because it will be relatively late in the year before it’s ready.
Sunborn’s CEO Yuzhong did previously suggest that it would be Project Neural Cloud that would see its international debuts earlier than the actual sequel game, Girls’ Frontline: Exilium. Hopefully, this would mean that the English release would not be too far behind. Exilium remains in development as far as it appears, as it has only concluded testing periods and hasn’t launched in its home country yet.
If you’re unaware of what Project Neural Cloud is, it is, in essence, a rogue-like, auto-chess kind of game. You’ll be able to field a small squad of units who have their own characteristics, with movement and targetting automated, requiring a level of strategy to placement and when you’ll use their special moves. It launched in China September 2021.
