PlayStation announced Project EVE at tonight’s PlayStation Showcase, a new action game by Shift Up Corporation.
At first glance, the game looks like it shares a lot of similarities with Nier: Automata– it features a destroyed near-future, where you play as the gorgeous EVE seemingly traveling through it.
PlayStation hasn’t revealed much about Project EVE yet, but from the trailer it looks like it will be PS5 exclusive. There also isn’t a release date yet, though we can expect more information at a later date.
According to Shift Up the team is also hiring, so it looks like Project EVE might be a ways out.
Project EVE is an action game, featuring you doing combos against the game’s monstrous enemies. In the trailer, it looks like it also features some bullet hell-ish action sequences, as EVE fights off a storm of projectiles, even seemingly reflecting some back.
It does feature things like quick-time events, as well as execution moves to finish off your enemies.
Enemies are called NA:tives, though we have very little to go on what they even are considering the Alpha shown as a stinger at the end of the trailer appears to look like a regular girl, similar to EVE, albeit with a Kojima-esque skull helmet.
The other big takeaway from the trailer is that the game looks like it’ll be in Korean, with English subtitles.
