Malaysian independent idol project, Project Dreamcatcher has certainly been busy these past couple of months, releasing the first chapter of a manga, their first character song, and now a motion comic.
The motion comic was uploaded to the Project Dreamcatcher official youtube channel and even comes with music and voice acting.
The Project Dreamcatcher motion comic is an adaption of the prologue manga that was previously released on their Facebook page. We see the three main girls, Mi Er, Xing Qiao, and Cai Yun learn that their village in Penang will be demolished due to a lack of funds. From here, team leader Mi Eir comes up with the idea to become idols and put on a concert.
The voice casts were done by Japanese voice actors however the writers, artists, and project heads are Malaysian, creating a story set in Penang, Malaysia.

Project Dreamcatcher is being developed by indie Malaysian animation team Yore Productions who hope to do more with the franchise in the future, such as a music video and more manga chapters.
