Back in March 2019, we were introduced to Google Stadia, the new cloud-based gaming platform which lets you play video games across screens instantly. Now it is confirmed to launch this November in 2 versions of packages – Stadia Pro ($9.99 / about RM42 / about SGD14 per month) and the free Stadia Base.
Stadia Pro allows you to enjoy video games up to 4K and 60 FPS, while the free Stadia Base only allows up to 1080p. The Stadia Pro also includes additional free games that will release regularly, starting with Destiny 2: The Collection. Other than these, there will be a Stadia Founder’s Edition that costs you $129 (about RM536 / SGD176). This physical edition includes a Night Blue colour Stadia controller, Chromecast Ultra devices, 3 months of Stadia Pro and more.
Of course, you will need a fast internet speed to enjoy games in high resolution. Here are the requirements:
The first batch of games lineup for Stadia is exciting too – featuring Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, Doom Eternal, Ghost Recon: Breakpoint, Darksiders: Genesis, Borderlands 3 and more. We can expect more titles to be announced soon, especially next week during E3.
Stadia will first be made available in 14 countries such as United States, Netherlands and Canada. Stay tuned for more updates!
