Praey For The Gods , an open world game featuring massive bossfights and a never-ending winter is available now, launching on consoles and PC.
The game takes a lot of cues from Shadow of the Colossus– you’d only need to look at some of the massive bosses to realize that the 3-man team behind Praey For The Gods have some reverence for traversal-based fighting and massive giants ranging from bipeds to birds.
However where it does differ is its mix of open world elements- the game features crafting, and players will need to craft more equipment to help them through their fights.
From the game’s Steam Page:
Praey for the Gods is a boss climbing open world adventure game where you play as a lone hero sent to the edge of a dying frozen world to discover the mystery behind a never-ending winter. Arriving with only the clothes on your back, you must survive the colossal dangers that you encounter. To restore balance and reclaim the land from the brink, you will be faced with questions that not even a God knows the answer to.
One feature that fans of Shadow of the Colossus might be interested in, however, is the more open boss structure. Unlike the linear Colossus, Praey features an open boss structure, letting you tackle whichever boss you want first, more akin to titles like Megaman.
You also have way more mobility options, as you can use gliders and a grappling hook to quickly traverse the elaborate giant bosses.
