The game is available digitally from the 25th of May, though fans will be able to purchase a physical copy in July.
For players who already purchased the game, Power Rangers Battle for the Grid Super Edition will also be available as an upgrade, saving you some money while catching up on all the game’s DLC including its latest Street Fighter pack, which features guest characters Ryu and Chun Li from Street Fighter.
Here’s the full list of DLC in the game:
- Season One Pass
- Season Two Pass
- Season Three Pass
- Street Fighter Pack
- 4 Bonus Character Skins
It should be noted that the game isn’t released in the SEA region, meaning if you want to buy it your best bet would be the Nintendo Switch version with a US-linked store.
Power Rangers Battle For The Grid is the 3v3 Hyper Fighter based on the Power Rangers, featuring characters from across the series expanded universe such as Lord Zedd from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers or the Quantum Ranger from Power Rangers Time Force.
Despite its relatively low profile in the fighting game scene, Battle for The Grid sports some great accessibility- it was one of the big adopters of Rollback netcode, allowing you to get more stable games over longer distances. It also supports cross play, allowing you to find matches against players on PS4, PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and Google Stadia.
It also sports a more simplified control scheme, meaning players won’t have to worry about doing complex inputs to engage in the game’s frenetic combat.
