More details are supposed to be available through the official website, but at this time of writing, the site is currently unavailable. The game had a beta test a few months prior which a lot of people got to try if they were eager enough through third party download. You can check out our impressions of the game here, along with the list of Pokemon that were available in that test build here.
If you were unaware, Pokemon Unite is a MOBA-style game, developed by TiMi Studios, a subsidiary of Tencent. You can say it’s more simplified than your typical MOBA, with the focus being on scoring points at nodes instead of killing other players and destroying their base. It does have the typical trappings of jungle creatures, sans equipment. Being Pokemon, they don’t upgrade linearly either, with certain Pokemon evolving earlier or later or even not at all, but nonetheless able to pick and choose their active skills when they level up. Matches also aren’t meant to last long, with a cap of 10 minutes in the beta.
