Nintendo has just dropped Pokemon TV, an app that lets you watch old episodes of the Pokemon Anime on to Nintendo Switch. If you have a Switch you can now watch Ash’s journeys through the Pokemon world once again for free.
The App can be downloaded from an American or European Nintendo Switch account from the eshop. Thankfully the Switch is not region locked and you can create accounts in different regions and download the Pokemon TV for free.
From there, you’ve got an enormous catalog of hundreds of episodes of Pokemon TV at your fingertips from the very start in Kanto to the later journeys through Hoenn and Kalos. It even includes a few of the Pokemon specials and movies like the currently available Pokemon Origins and Pokemon Twilight Wings.
The only downside to the app is that you won’t be able to watch every Pokemon episode at once. The app works much like Netflix as seasons, specials, and shows are only hosted on the app for a certain period of time before they are removed and rotated out with other seasons.
That being said, there are currently ten different seasons of Pokemon on Pokemon TV so there is more than enough content to keep you busy if you’re looking for a nostalgia binge watch.
Pokemon TV is currently available and Nintendo Switch. It has also been released for Mobile devices. You can find out more about the app here.
Speaking of Pokemon, it was also announced today that you can get an Umbreon Plushie from Build a Bear Workshop.
