The Pokemon Company has just announced that they will be shutting down the Pokemon TV app and website at the end of March.
The announcement was made over at the official Pokemon website, stating that it will sunset both the app and website on 28th March 2024, ending the free streaming service.
Additionally, the announcement also mentions that the Pokemon TV app will no longer be available to download from digital storefronts, including the App Store, Google Play Store, and the Nintendo eShop.
“However, those who already had the app downloaded on their devices prior to January 8, 2024, will still be able to watch available content until the app fully sunsets on March 28, 2024”, the statement reads.
The Pokemon Company has gathered a list of places where users can enjoy the Pokemon animated series as well as other Pokemon content, with most of them being streaming services that include Netflix, prime video, hulu and more.
Other alternatives include purchasing or renting seasons through Amazon, iTunes Store and Google Play Store; while the mini-series such as Pokemon: Paldean Winds, Pokemon Evolutions can be viewed on Youtube for free.
Pokemon TV initially released back in 2013 on iOS, which allowed fans to view the animated series on the go.
