The second installment of the Pokemon Sword and Shield DLC Expansion – The Crown Tundra which is now available to download.
For those who are wondering on how to get the update, they can simply head over to their main menu for the Nintendo Switch and by clicking on the “+” sign on their Pokemon Sword/Shield game to bring up the options menu.
Once you’ve updated to the latest version of the game, trainers can now head over to Wedgehurst Station to receive a train pass from the train conductor which will unlock the train station that leads to the location that take places in the expansion.
Expansion Overview
While this isn’t the first time we’ve covered about the details for the expansion, here are some of the notable things to keep in mind that comes in The Crown Tundra:
- Returning Pokemon
Coming with the expansion is the return of some familiar faces where a total of 123 will be making a re-appearance in the region of Galar. Some of the fan favorites such as Dragonite, Metagross, Garchomp and of course all the previous existing Legendary Pokemon will be available in this second expansion.
- Dynamax Adventure
In the Dynamax Adventure where you’ll be pairing up with other 3 members to go on an expedition with to clear out the Dynamax dens. It will feature branching paths with different Pokemon type you and your party can choose from, and if you look closely on the top left corner it shows some form of healthbar which would indicate how many attempts you and you party can try out before you guys get kicked out.
- Galarian Star Tournament
After completing the story of the Crown Tundra (as well as the Isle of Armor), players can head back to the base game and travel to Wyndon where the Championship league was once held to attend the event called Galarian Star Tournament which will allow players to team up with famous trainers from the Galar region to make a dream team and battle it out in a two-on-two format.
