Pokemon Sword and Shield have just been confirmed to be launching on 15 November 2019 for the Nintendo Switch. Nintendo first announced the game earlier this year but now we know for sure when it’s coming out.
In the latest Pokemon Direct stream, the developer announced a few new Pokemon, a new feature called Dynamax, and the two new Legendary Pokemon called Zacian and Zamazenta.
Here’s a breakdown for some of the new details:
-
Dynamax
A new feature that debuts in Pokemon Sword and Shield. Said to be a phenomenon unique certain places in the Galar region, Dynamaxing causes Pokemon to turn into giants. The Dynamaxed Pokemon is not only much larger but also gains increased stats. However, this phenomenon only lasts for three turns so it’s crucial to know when to use it.
-
Legendaries
These are the Legendary Pokémon that will be featured on the packages of Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield. They are shrouded in mystery and are even unknown to those who live in the Galar region.
Zacian
Zacian attacks so gracefully that its movements can even captivate its opponents. It holds what appears to be a sword in its mouth.
Zamazenta
Zamazenta’s regal and majestic movements overwhelm any opponents that dare face it. Its body is covered in what seems to be a shield.
