The Pokemon Company has announced that they are opening pre registrations for the Android version of Pokemon Sleep, ahead of the game’s launch this July.
According to the website, iOS pre registrations would be available soon for Pokemon Sleep- though at the moment it’s Android only.
It should be mentioned that while it’s not in anhy of the material, a press release by The Pokemon Company has the game’s release date marked as “Late July”.
Aside from this news, they’ve also provided a more detailed breakdown of the gameplay for Pokemon Sleep.
Your Drowsy Power is drawn from two factors- one being the Strength level of your Snorlax, and the other being the quality of your real-world sleep, measured via Sleep Score.
Snorlax’s Strength level is determined by berries you feed it during the day, while the Sleep Score is measured using your phone’s microphone as you sleep.
For those concerned about privacy, the gameplay breakdown does mention that it records your audio when you sleep- offering you the chance to listen back to the noises in the morning, as well as tracking other stats.
That being said, the preview mentions that the recordings are deleted on the next opening of the app, or after 24 hours.
As explained previously, your Sleep Score is important for collecting various Pokemon- all of which have multiple sleep styles and can be used to fill out your SleepDex.
Pokemon Sleep is a highly anticipated mobile game, following the success of Pokemon Go.
