Pokemon Releases Original TikTok Effect ‘Make Faces With Pokemon’

The Pokemon Company has made a special original effect called ‘Make Faces With Pokemon’ for TikTok. The was added in order to celebrate the release of Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Pokemon Shining Pearl.

This will be available for a limited time only starting on November 28 and ending on January 31st. Users can play with their favorite Pokémon by making faces with them.

How to Play

First, 4 Poké Balls will appear on the left side of the screen where you can choose your favorite by pointing to one. 4 Pokemon in total will be available to choose from, including Pikachu, as well as your latest partners from Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, Turtwig, Chimchar, and Piplup.

After making your selection, you can ready that Poké Ball by making a fist with your hand. Then you can release it by opening your hand and you’ll see your Pokemon come flying out! Once your Pokemon is out, you’ll then try to make “angry”, “sleepy” or “happy” faces while following a certain rhythm. By doing so, your Pokemon will copy you in an adorable manner! Lastly, you’ll need to strike a pose when the music stops to finish your session.

The Pokemon Tiktok effect seems like a silly little feature but that could be fun for the younger generation of Pokemon trainers posting videos on Tiktok.

The event period will end on the 31st of January 2022. The Hot tab on the Effect panel will only be available until December 3rd.

Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl are available for Nintendo Switch.
