Pokemon Just Made An Official TikTok

Yup Pokemon has an official TikTok account. It was put up on TikTok Japan and so far is only available in Japanese. They don’t have any videos but as of writing this they currently have 7830 followers and 5830 likes. They have no follows though since Pikachu bows to no one.

They’ll probably start trickling out videos soon. It’s likely no coincidence that this was announced the same day that a Pokemon Nintendo Direct for the upcoming games, Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, and Pokemon Legends Arceus was also announced. The Nintendo Direct will be on the 18th of August.

Tiktok will be the latest conquest in Pokemon’s plans for complete social media domination. They’ve already got an Official Twitter, Facebook and Youtube channel. They’ve even experimented with making viral videos like official Pokemon ASMR, or perhaps the official Pokemon Classic 1940s Style Animated Cartoons.

These are things that are happening.

Well, I suppose we’ll see how Pokemon TikTok will be used in the near future.

Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl will release for Nintendo Switch on November 19. Pokemon Legends Arceus will release on January 22nd 2022 also for Nintendo Switch.
