Other than what we mentioned in our previous report, there are actually more features coming in the summer update. Here is a full list of them:
- Pokemon Gym is now a PokeStop too, you can spin the photo disc for items.
- Gym badges will be given out at your first visit to a Pokemon Gym. You can collect and level up them by battling, feeding Berries to Pokemon in the gym or spin the gym’s photo disc. Higher Gym Badge level will give you higher opportunity to acquire bonus items and higher rewards.
- 6 unique slots that can only occupy by different types of Pokemon, opposing teams will battle the Pokémon in the order they were assigned.
- Pokemon will have a motivation value when assigned to a Gym. Motivation will decrease over time and when losing a battle. Lower motivation means lower CP, making them more vulnerable. Motivation value is restorable by feeding Berries, you can also feed Berries to Pokemon from the same team to help them out.
- The longer your Pokemon defend a gym, more coins you can get when your Pokemon returns to you.
- Raid Battle enable you to team up with other trainers (max 20) to defeat the boss (an extremely powerful Pokemon). You need a raid pass (can acquire from spinning a gym) to participate in a raid.
- Successfully defeating the Raid Boss within 5 minutes will earn you rare items (Rare Candy, Golden Razz Berries, Fast or Charged Technical Machines) and a chance of catching these Pokemon.
- You can form your own group to battle Raid Boss with the in-game code.
Niantic has not confirmed about the Legendary Pokemon yet, but it seems pretty obvious for them to appear in the form of Raid Bosses. Can’t wait to try out the new updates!
