Pokemon Go will be adding Party Play, a social mechanic revolving around built around enjoying the game with your friends.
Party Play will be available from October 17th, and will also require players to be over Trainer Level 15 to participate.
Rather than be a permanent guild-like feature, Party Play looks to be more session-based- where you recruit people you meet while playing Pokemon Go to join your session.
While never stated outright, it looks as though Parties will be locked to four members per session, and ending the session will net you a neat page highlighting your accomplishments during your time together.
The primary feature revolves around Party Challenges, with you and your members working together to complete tasks like catching certain Pokemon, or even taking part in raid battles.
These give out in-game rewards to the party members, letting you get more berries and Poke Balls together.
However, that’s not all there is for the new feature- parties who take part in raids together can trigger Party Power, a bonus that enhances charged attacks for a limited period of time.
To celebrate the launch of Party Play, Pokemon Go will also be giving out free Eevee-themed T-shirts for players trying out the feature.
