Niantic has recently introduced a new feature called Adventure Sync for Pokemon GO that let players track their steps without activating the game. This also allows players to find more Candy, hatch Pokemon eggs quicker as well as earning exclusive Adventure Sync rewards. To do so, you will need to activate the feature in your Pokemon GO app and connect it to your device’s health app. Here we have prepared a Pokemon Go Adventure Sync guide to teach you on the new feature!
Update: Adventure Sync is now available to Trainers level 5 and up!

First of all, you will need to install Google Fit (Android) or Apple Health (iOS) and set it up in your device. If you are using an Android device, you can enable it easily in your Pokemon app just by hitting the “lock” icon in your profile under the weekly progress section. This will prompt you for a Google Account (that you are using Google Fit with) to connect with Adventure Sync, select an account and it is all activated!
For those who are using iOS devices, you will need to first open your Apple Health app. Then, tap on the “Sources” options and find “Pokemon GO” in the menu. Inside, you will need to press on “Turn All Categories On” (you can turn them on manually too). Open your Pokemon GO app again and you are good to go!
The weekly progress report refreshes every week. You will get rewards when you walked 5KM, 25KM and 50KM for the week, while going beyond 50KM doesn’t grant you any rewards unfortunately.
Here are the rewards you will get from Adventure Sync:
- 5KM – Poke Ball x20
- 25KM – Poke Ball x20, Great Ball x10, 5000 Stardust/5km Pokemon Egg
- 50KM – Poke Ball x20, Great Ball x10, Ultra Ball x5, 15000 Stardust/5000 Stardust and 10KM Egg/10km Egg and Rare Candy/10000 Stardust and Rare Candy
That is all from our Pokemon Go Adventure Sync guide, have fun walking around and capturing the Pokemon!
