Pokemon Go Adds New Weather Effects and 3rd Gen Pokemon!

Great news to trainers out there! Niantic has recently announced that they will be adding in 50 3rd Gen Pokemon including Treecko, Torchic and Mudkip into the Pokedex in Pokemon GO. Now trainers will be able to catch their favourite Hoenn region Pokemon that first made their appearance in Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire.

Pokemon aside, Niantic will also be adding in weather effects. These weather effects are not just for environmental-cosmetics purposes. The weather actually affects your Pokemon! Just like in the Pokemon games, you will see Mudkip or other water Pokemon with water attacks stronger during rainy days. While Charizard’s or Torchic’s Fire Spin will burn their victims crispier during sunny days.
