Mizuno, as one of the biggest sports goods brands in Japan, has now added Pokemon to its list of partnerships. The brand logo can be seen on a wide range of equipment and even things like typical school stationery. Mizuno, with Pokemon, will be launching a line of sportswear and accessories for exclusive sale at Pokemon Center outlets, as well as select Mizuno branches. The line will be available from 15 August for the sports and / or Pikachu enthusiasts around the world.
The preview of the full line-up shows both sports wear and school supplies, which you can see below:
This collaboration seems to be in the spirit of Pokemon promoting more health-focused initiatives, like how Pokemon Go encourages going out, Pokemon Smile for teeth brushing, and the upcoming Pokemon Sleep that is meant to “make sleeping fun”, whatever that’s supposed to mean.
One of the products is a heavy-duty backpack, available at 14,300 yen. It has plenty of pockets and is made from hardy TPU tarpaulin for something that is guaranteed to last you a long time, with the emblazoned Mizuno Run Bird and Pikachu for accent.
The kid’s black T-shirt will be available at 3850 yen, with a unisex adult’s fit at 4400 yen, available in various sizes. Made from 100% polyester fabric, Pikachus run across the bottom of the shirt with the combination logo printed on the chest.
Interested buyers can stop by their local Pokemon Center, Mizuno Tokyo, Mizuko Osaka Chayamachi, or find them on the Pokemon online store.
