POCO has unveiled its latest entry-level smartphone, the POCO C71, featuring premium design elements and impressive hardware specifications that challenge conventional expectations for budget-friendly devices.
The new C71 boasts a large 6.88-inch display with a cinematic 20.5:9 aspect ratio and 120Hz AdaptiveSync refresh rate, delivering visual quality typically reserved for more expensive models. With a 90% screen-to-body ratio, the device offers an immersive viewing experience while maintaining TÜV Rheinland certifications for eye protection.

“POCO C71 sets a new standard in entry-level smartphones, placing emphasis on giving price-sensitive consumers an attractive flagship-level device with a more immersive display, powerful performance, and a balanced overall experience that defies expectation,” stated Angus Ng, Head of Product Marketing at POCO Global.
Performance receives a significant upgrade with the UNISOC T7250 octa-core processor, which delivers up to 83% improved performance compared to previous generations, achieving an AnTuTu benchmark score of 266,353. The device comes with up to 128GB internal storage and supports up to 8GB of additional memory expansion.

Photography capabilities have been enhanced with a 32MP AI dual camera system that captures 18% more light than previous models, improving low-light photography results. The 8MP front camera includes Fill light functionality for better selfies in darker environments.

Design-wise, the C71 features a slim 8.26mm profile with a modern aesthetic, available in Black, Gold, and Blue color options. Battery life remains a priority with a 5,200mAh battery providing over 20 hours of video playback or 9 hours of gaming on a single charge, with 15W fast charging support. The POCO C71 is now available in Malaysia through official POCO stores on Shopee, Lazada, and mi.com in two configurations: 3GB+64GB and 4GB+128GB, with special early bird pricing available until May 9.
