The Kuala Lumpur based gaming subsidiary is looking to fill five roles in their studio which have been listed below:
Project Manager/ Associate Project Manager
Job Description:
- Oversee day-to-day production issues with our internal team in all aspects of development – animation, art, design, outsourcing, tech, etc.
- Support Senior Project Managers and department lead(s) and by coordinating, prioritizing, and scheduling resources to ensure tasks are complete and on schedule.
- Provide regular status updates to department lead(s), project manager, and sr. project manager
- Facilitate cross-discipline and interdepartmental communication to complete tasks and resolve issues.
- Work with Senior Project Manager and Studio Management, other members of the production team in KL and San Diego, and discipline departmental leads to breakdown complex tasks into manageable sub-projects.
- Track assets and tasks in the short-term as well as thinking long-term about the project.
- Deal with the changes in direction of a project in production due to client changes, technology changes, or other factors in a proactive manner and with a positive attitude.
- Evaluate and communicate risk or production issues – positive or negative – to the production team
- Able to resolve ongoing production issues in consultation with the Senior Project Manager, Studio Management and discipline leads
Job Description:
- Understanding and maintaining project pipelines.
- Learning and supporting varying client working environments, assets, and tools.
- Writing, maintaining, and customizing internal tools for the production team.
- Solving problems in the pipeline and for individuals on an as-needed basis.
- Building and maintaining technical documentation.
Job Description:
- Manage environments from grey box to final engine implementation including geometry, shaders, textures, and engine-specific elements.
- Create in-game art assets with strong aesthetics and understanding of form, structure, construction, composition, light, and color design.
- Set dress levels with a strong sense of environmental storytelling while meeting the visual benchmark and gameplay elements.
- Troubleshoot, improve, and optimize levels and in-game performance.
- Keeping up to the required level of quality and productivity standards set by Art Supervisor/ Lead Artist.
- Understand, interpret and adapt feedback from supervisors and/ or clients alike to improve production outcome/ performance.
- Coach/ Mentor junior members in the asset art team in maintaining/ exceeding the required level of productivity for the creation of art assets.
- Contribute to a creative, collaborative, and fun working atmosphere amongst the team.
Job Description:
- Create in-game or cinematic art assets according to Visual Arts/client specifications, may be required to create both hard surface and soft-bodied assets from scratch.
- Fix/ Modify/ Polish existing art assets to the required specifications.
- Take an asset from grey box to final quality.
- Integrate approved art assets into game engines; may need to perform set dressing too.
- Adjust and apply multiple asset creation pipelines, and techniques.
- Test in-game assets, for both aesthetic aspects and performance on consoles.
- Keeping up to the required level of quality and productivity standards set by Art Supervisor/ Lead Artist.
- Understand, interpret and adapt feedback from supervisors and/ or clients alike to improve production outcome/ performance.
- Contribute to a creative, collaborative, and fun working atmosphere amongst the team.
- Comprehend and deliver animation based on direction from the Animation Supervisor/ Lead Animator.
- Creating computer-generated in-game and cinematic animation, which may include the following: –
- Creating game animation elements and implementing them in a game engine.
- Work within the toolset and workflow for keyframe and/or motion capture production.
- Create in-game and pre-rendered animation according to the direction of the client and project.
- Create body and facial animation for human characters, along with an animation for creatures, vehicles, props, and other assets to be integrated into in-game engines and/or cinematic sequences.
- Keeping up to the required level of quality and productivity standards set by the Animation Supervisor/ Lead Animator.
- Understand, interpret and adapt feedback from supervisors and/ or clients to improve production outcome/ performance.
- Contribute to a creative, collaborative, and fun working atmosphere amongst the team.
