Sony Interactive Entertainment’s PlayStation Portal has released a new system software update, adding improvements to user experience for the beta cloud streaming function.
In Cloud Streaming (Beta), users can now sort games in the catalog screen. A new sort icon will be added on the top left corner of the interface which can allow sorting arrangements by:
- Recently Added to PS Plus
- Name (A-Z)
- Name (Z-A)
- Release Date (Old-New)
- Release Date (New-Old)

During a conducted Cloud Streaming (Beta) session, the Create button on PlayStation Portal will be enabled. With this feature, users can:
- Press once to display the Create menu
- Press and hold to take a screenshot
- Press twice to start or finish recording a clip in-game
All images and videos taken during a session will be uploaded automatically to the cloud server. Users can access this by selecting Library > Captures. Captures will be stored for two weeks after it has been created.

A Cloud Streaming (Beta) session will have a pause option for gameplay during the following scenarios:
- When users open the PlayStation Portal quick menu. This can be accessed by pressing the PlayStation button, swiping left from the screens top right corner or by clicking the quick menu icon from the status bar.
- PlayStation Portal will be put to rest mode when users press the power button once, which will pause the game. If rest mode persists for more than 10 seconds, the session will be disconnected.
- When a displayed message stating System Error is at the bottom of the screen, gameplay will be paused.
In the case of an online muiltiplay session, the pause feature will not be supported at this time.
Users will receive a system notification for when a session will end from 10 minutes of inactivity.

A user feedback screen has also been added at the end of a Cloud Streaming (Beta) session with a scale to rate the quality of the stream. This helps the team at Sony to identify any issue or improvements that can be fixed or enhanced to help the streaming experience run smoother and better.
