Playstation celebrates the Lunar New Year 2021 with the Playful Festival

Sony Interactive Entertainment Singapore announces the start of the “Playful Festival” for this 2021 Lunar New Year which includes “Playful New Year” sales offers and the “Playful Festival Challenge” Playstation community campaign.

Selected colours of Dualshock 4 Wireless Controllers will be discounted alongside select Playstation 4 software until 21 February 2021. PS Plus 12-month membership vouchers or purchase of PS Plus 12-month membership will also be on sale on the PS Store until 10 February with various game titles.

Players who sign up for the Playful Festival Challenge can help pitch in for community goals by playing games or using entertainment apps on PS4 or PS5 to win prizes.

February’s PS Plus line-up includes Destruction AllStars and Control: Ultimate Edition on PS5, and Concrete Genie, Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night and Biped for PS4.

The PS Store discounts will run until 17 February with up to 80% discounts, including Assassin’s Creed Valhalla (PS4 / PS5), FIFA 21 Champions Edition (PS4 / PS5), Ghost of Tsushima and Just Dance 2021.

As for the Playstation Lunar New Year 2021 Playful Festival Challenge, simply sign in to your PSN account to register for the challenge, open until 11 February. All gameplay and non-game activities (e.g.: watching Media app) from 12 February to 5 March will be tracked in the community achievement score. Once the community goals are achieved, participants are eligible to win prizes.

PSN users can also participate in the Team Challenge alongside regional influencers including J Hunter, Max Haze and Titan Gamers to achieve community goals. Join a team and gameplay hours will be recorded as part of the team score. The top 3 teams with longest gameplay hours will win the Team Challenge. The top 20 players in each winning team will be rewarded with prizes.

Playful Festival Challenge		Description & Prizes
Community Goals	Goal 1 － 180,000 Entertainment Apps Usage Hours	Usage of any entertainment apps such as YouTube, Netflix, Twitch, etc. will be counted in achievement record for Goal 1. Once it achieves 180,000 hours, all participants can get one set of Playful Festival Avatar.
	Goal 2 － 880,000 Gameplay Hours of non-online multi-player mode	Any gameplay hours of non-online multi-player mode will be counted in achievement record for Goal 2. Once it achieves 880,000 hours, the top 50 players from each region^*3 who play the longest hours can get PS Plus 12 Month Subscription.
	Goal 3 － 108,000 Online Multiplayer Gameplay Hours	Any online multi-player gameplay hours will be counted in achievement record for Goal 3. Once it achieves 108,000 hours, the top 2 players from each region^3 who play the longest hours in online multiplayer mode can get PS Store Money Voucher of value MYR 4,100. PS Plus subscription is required to enjoy online multi-player mode.
Team Challenge	Winning Team	The top 20 players with longest gameplay hours of non-online multi-player mode in the Winning Team will be rewarded with 2-way Backpack.
	1^st Runner-up Team	The top 20 players with longest gameplay hours of non-online multi-player mode in the 1^st Runner-up Team will be rewarded with Tough Case.
