Assassin’s Creed: Origins will be playable for free for a limited time as part of the franchise’s 15th anniversary celebrations. In addition, there will be new content coming to Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla as well.

With 60 FPS support recently added to Assassin’s Creed: Origins on PS5 and Xbox Series X | S, players can take advantage of this enhancement by playing the game for free. The free weekend for Assassin’s Creed: Origins will last from 16 – 20 June. In the meantime, players can pre-load the game.
In addition, Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla players will be able to access new free content in the game thanks to unprecedented Year 2 support. Amongst the new features that players will be able to experience include the return of festivals, the Mastery Challenge Pack 2, the Armory feature, and new caves to explore this fall to solve the mystery of the Tombs of the Fallen. The new game mode, The Forgotten Saga, will also be available for players to take on this summer. Furthermore, the last episode of Eivor’s story will be revealed at the end of the year as a free chapter update.
On top of that, the educational companion game to Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla, Discovery Tour: Viking Age is now available as a stand-alone experience on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S and PC. Ubisoft is also partnering with the Faculty of Education at McGill University to develop curriculum guides for teachers and
students, available online for free, to help them make the most of Discovery Tour opuses as
learning tools for the classroom.
