Myth Avenue Gaming (Malaysia), Ivory (Philippines), 123 Gaming (Mongolia), and Helios Team (Indonesia) emerged victorious from their respective groups, each maintaining perfect 2-0 records throughout the preliminary stage.
The group stage featured 12 teams from across the Asia Pacific region competing in a round-robin format with best-of-one matches. In Group A, Philippine representatives Ivory demonstrated their prowess by defeating both Whoops! and Sentry Symphony Esports. Mongolia’s 123 Gaming showed similar dominance in Group B, outperforming Execution and REJECT May.
Indonesia’s Helios Team commanded Group C with victories over ToLight Team and TK Esports, while Malaysian squad Myth Avenue Gaming completed the quartet of group winners by besting Caterpillar and Rogue Squad in Group D.
The tournament, hosted at MITEC in Kuala Lumpur, has expanded beyond competitive gaming to include a variety of entertainment offerings. Attendees can enjoy performances by former 2NE1 members Minzy and Sandara Park, alongside local Malaysian artists Aina Abdul and Hael Husaini, and Filipino girl group G22. A cosplay competition with a RM25,000 prize pool adds to the festival atmosphere, complemented by an interactive gaming zone and Acer product showcase.
Fans can participate in the ongoing INTEL All-Star MVP voting, which opened on January 7th, with prizes including exclusive Predator keychains and Xbox PC Game Pass subscriptions up for grabs. The Grand Finals are scheduled for January 11-12, where teams will battle for the prestigious Predator Shield. With each APAC DOTA 2 team maintaining a perfect record through the group stage, the championship matches promise intense competition as the region’s best DOTA 2 talent converges in Malaysia.
