In a significant announcement during the closing ceremony of APAC Predator League 2025 in Kuala Lumpur, Acer revealed that its India office will host the next edition of the prestigious esports tournament. The symbolic handover took place between Acer Malaysia’s Managing Director, Kon Tek Yoong, and Acer India’s President and Managing Director, Harish Kohli, who received the Predator League pennant during the ceremonial transfer.
The announcement follows the successful conclusion of this year’s tournament, which saw Team Alter Ego (VALORANT) and Myth Avenue Gaming (Dota 2) emerge victorious, each securing the coveted Predator Shield and USD 65,000 in prize money. The tournament featured top teams from 14 regions competing across two popular esports titles.
The 2025 edition in Kuala Lumpur demonstrated Acer’s commitment to creating a comprehensive gaming experience, featuring not just competitive matches but also entertainment elements including performances by K-pop stars Sandara Park and Minzy from 2NE1, Malaysian artists Aina Abdul and Hael Husaini, and Filipino group G22. The event also introduced exclusive champion avatars, Nero and Yuffy, along with the Predator “It Lies Within” theme song in various local languages.
This transition to India for the APAC Predator League for the next tournament showcases Acer’s ongoing dedication to developing the esports and PC gaming ecosystem across the Asia Pacific region, continuing its tradition of supporting grassroots competitions and hosting premier gaming events.
