Pioneer, a Japanese brand famous for its premium electronics and audio-visual innovations recently announces their newest SSD (solid-state drives) series – APS-SL2 and APS-SM1. Based on the best-in-class TLC NAND flash memory and SLC cache technology, the new SSD series aims to deliver incredible sequential read and write performance of up to 500MB/s and 400MB/s respectively.
The new SSD series boasts 4 times higher read and write speeds as well as providing ultra-fast bootup and application load times compared to the traditional hard disk drives. Thanks to a choice of 2.5-inch SSD format (APS-SL2) and M.2 2280 form factor (APS-SM1), the new SSDs also allow an easy storage upgrade for the PCs (desktop and notebook) in 120 GB and 240 GB.
