We have only been playing Android games on mobile or PC (via emulator) so far, but do you know you can actually run Android games on something similar to a PlayStation 4 console? On China’s Jing Dong website, we have discovered a console that claims to run Android games – the Phoenix One (凤凰1号) and it is now available for pre-order!
Under its appearance that looks like PS4, the Phoenix One comes with Android OS (obviously), powered by Snapdragon 660 processor and 4GB RAM (kinda less for a “console”?). According to the product page, the console could run most of the recent popular mobile games including PUBG Mobile, King of Glory (王者荣耀), Honkai Impact 3 and Identity V.
Other than supporting external displays such as TV or PC monitors, it also allows you to play Android games using controllers or keyboard + mouse! You don’t need to worry about the battery as well – it is directly connected to the power supply for operation.
The Phoenix One is available in 2 edition – the entry-level edition (1,299 RMB / about RM777) and standard edition (1,399 RMB / about RM837). You can view more information on the official store page if you are interested! Would you buy it?
