In their first statement since the allegations started circling, Saqina Latif, founder of the studio, said that the recovery process would be helmed by new Co-CEOs Abu Huraira and Ahmad Helmi.
“They will be shaping new guidelines to ensure a safe and nurturing work environment”, the statement reads.
The allegations had resurfaced following studio founder Saqina Latif’s induction in the TGA Future Class 2023– with many former employees coming out and detailing the abuse they faced at the company.
Despite calls for Saqina to be removed from the Future Class over the allegations from some, she is still among their inductees.
Abuses at the company reportedly include bad working conditions, with some employees reporting long meetings consisting of just watching game playthroughs, as well as “threatening discord messages at 2am”.
There were also cases of sexual harassment at the studio, alongside management cover-ups of said incidents after interns complained about it.
As of August 2023, Persona Theory had told GamerBraves that the abuser in question has already left the company.
“The person has resigned prior and hasn’t been working with us for the last few months and we are in transition internally”, the statement reads.
The high-ranking male employee behind a lot of the harassment has still not been named by the company.
