The Persona 5 mobile spin-off title Persona 5: The Phantom X will be having an official release in South Korea, confirmed by a newly launched official website.
This newly launched Korean language website for Persona 5: The Phantom X is hosted by Perfect World Games, confirming that the company will also be publishing the title in South Korea.
Previously, the Persona 5 mobile spin-off was only announced to be released in China and Southeast Asia for Android, iOS, and Windows PCs, and there was no news on whether the title will launch elsewhere.
Now, a Korean version of the game has been confirmed, and alongside an official website, a new YouTube channel, a Naver page, and a Kakao social media account have also been set up for the region.
An interesting note about the new Korean website is that it does feature a news post about the Heart Stealing Test, which is scheduled to run from January 16, 2024.
However, clicking on the news page will bring you to the Chinese blog post rather than a Korean one, suggesting that this is likely a placeholder and that the closed beta test has not been announced for the region yet.
Aside from that, several elements on the website seem to be placeholders, suggesting that the page is not intended to be made public just yet.
For fans of the Persona series, Persona 5: The Phantom X is themed around “desire” and you will follow new protagonist Wonder, who has awakened the power of “Persona Masks” and will explore their everyday lives between school and the Metaverse.
