Atlus has announced the release date for Persona 3 Reload, the ground-up remake of Persona 3.
In a new trailer today, it was revealed that Persona 3 Reload would drop on February 2nd, 2024 on Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One, PS4, PS5 and PC.
The trailer also gives us a closer look at the gameplay of the upcoming title, such as the redone menus and battle effects.
Part of this includes a new splash art for the all-out attack, which is more similar to the style used for Persona 5.
They’ve also shown footage of the Persona fusion, which features a redone animation for Reload.
New Battle Outfits
One interesting thing to note in the game is the SEES armbands- both the Limited Edition and some of the official art of the game has it replaced with a new design, though scenes in the trailer also show the cast still using the old-style bands.
Persona Channel describes these as part of the new battle uniforms for all the characters, available to them when they enter Tartarus.
Given the controversy in recent years involving games with red armbands, it would make sense that SEGA and Atlus might want to change that one particular design element, though there’s been no official reasoning given on their social media.
